Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
My submission has not been previously published in whole or in part, in print or online, and is not currenlty under consideration by another journal.
I warrant that my submission is original work and contains no matter which is libelous or is otherwise unlawful or which invades individual privacy or infringes any proprietary right or any statutory copyright; and I agree to indemnify and hold Ubiquity harmless against any claim or judgment to the contrary.
My abstract is between 50 and 150 words. The title of my work is no more than 12 words. My abstract is in an Open Office or Microsoft Word document file format.
If submitting to Research, Praxis, or Creative Works, I have followed the instructions for ensuring a blind review. (Consult tutorial video 4 or this PDF for additional information.)
My references include an article or creative work published in Ubiquity.
- My submission adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines and conforms to the APA 7th edition style guide.
I comply with ethical copyright and legal requirements expected of the scholarly community. I have secured permissions at my own expense from copyright owners for any material which requires written permission for inclusion my submission and submitted for review by Ubiquity with the submission.
I have secured such permissions from the copyright holders prior to publication in Ubiquity.
I have obtained written releases for the inclusion of any images, videos, audio, or written materials featuring the likenesses of others. I understand that "likeness" has been determined by the courts to include the use of peoples' voices or simulations thereof.
I have secured written permissions and releases for the accepted submission(s) and I will provide them to Ubiquity upon acceptance.
I will not hold the journal Ubiquity responsible for copyright infringement or other misuse of my work by end users of the Ubiquity web site.
I grant and assign to Ubiquity a perpetual license for publication. I retain copyright to the work itself. The copyright consists of any and all rights of whatever kind or nature now or hereafter protected by the copyright laws of the United States and of all foreign countries in all forms of communication.I warrant that no right protected by copyright to the submission has been previously assigned.
I have submitted photographs, images, or figures: as JPEG high quality files at a 72+ dpi setting (300 recommended) with a minimum 700 x 400 pixel display; audio as mp3 files; and video as MPEG-4 files, where applicable. I have complied with technical specifications enumerated in the general and strand-specific submission guidelines for Ubiquity.
I have included a bio statement for each author of the submission.
