She currently lives in the Silicon Valley as a full time homemaker. Her doctoral project titled \u2018The Learning of English Vocabulary by Local Students and Chinese Immigrant Children: A Critical and Sociocultural Analysis\u2019 was awarded the best dissertation in 2002 in the doctoral category for all Hong Kong universities.
